f = (x-a)(x-2a) = x^2 -3a x + 2a^2 x = 0

3a = (2k+5)/k
2a^2 = (k+7)/k

2(2k+5)^2/(9k^2) = (k+7)/k

8k^2 + 40k + 50 = 9k^2 + 63k
k^2 + 23k - 50 = 0
(k+25)(k-2) = 0

The other way is plug and play.
