I'm currently a 1st year master's student at Cornell. I am about 90% sure I will apply to the Johnson school this year for fall 2010 matriculation (dual degree). My thinking is that I'm here at Cornell already, I just turned 27 years old, it's a great school, moving sucks (I drove from CA), this is the perfect time and place to get an MBA. The other 10% of me is thinking, well...what if I wait until next year just to make sure I couldn't get in anywhere better or more my style. I've been in love with Yale SOM since I started researching b schools a few years ago, and I think Tuck is amazing as well. And who doesn't want to shoot for HBS or Stanford? Then again, I'm at Cornell...most people I've spoken to think I'd be foolish not to apply while I'm here.
What do you guys think?
What schools would you think you would be getting into, if you can get into a top10 I would go for that. If nothing else, you should just apply to a few this year and see where you get accepted.
Cornell to me doesn't have strong recruiting.
