I have taken several practice tests and scored in the 650-700 range. I took the real thing today... 550. The very first practice test I took I scored a 620. I just don't understand. The questions didn't seem that hard, I wasn't rushed... It just makes no sense.

Don't be discouraged. Think about your test day experience. What you understood, what you didn't etc. Couple that with your prep experience. Identify growth areas and go at it again.

I essentially have one month to prepare for the next (and probably final) exam. Math has never been my strong suit, so I am trying to go back to basics on that. I think I probably made a lot of silly errors. As for the verbal, on all the practice tests I was scoring in the >90%, so I really don't know what I did to screw that up so bad. I'm just going to keep doing practice problems on those, I guess. The funny thing is that the test didn't seem any harder than the practice tests, and I wasn't nervous or anything, so it's really a mystery to me.

Glad to hear you're taking it again... Whatever you do, don't give up. Have you considered making an error log of your missed questions. It will help you focus your study.

Glad to hear you'll try again. Definitely use an error to identify areas to strengthen. I've been using MGmat strategy guides. You may want to check them out in addition to their new math foundations book. At a minimum, consider book one- number properties. It's golden. Posted from my mobile device
