Gave the GMAT today and scored 640 (Q48 V30 )
Very disappointed with the score . Though wasn't expecting a very high score either but at least a 670 or 680. My Target score is 700 and I need to get to
get there as soon as possible . I have only 1-2 months in hand to reach the 700 level.
Below are my MGMAT scores :
MGMAT 1 - 590 44 28
MGMAT 2 650 46 33
MGMAT 3 670 44 37
MGMAT 4 630 46 31
MGMAT 5 650 47 32
GMAT Prep 1 660 48 32
GMAT Prep 2 670 49 33
Got what i was scoring in the mocks in Q - 48
If you look at the mock scores verbal is my weakness and so it proved to be the menace on the real GMAT as well.
Highest score in verbal in MOCKS was 37 and was nowhere near that in the real gmat ,an abysmal 30
Just have no clue how to tackle this section . To get to the 700 mark i need to score at least 38-40 in verbal and this is seeming a mammoth task for me at the moment .
In verbal I am quite okay with SC part , but struggling a lot with DS and RC .Fell short of time today in verbal today and to add insult to injury last 3 questions were an RC paragraph.
Materials i have gone through in Verbal include below:
SC - MGMAT SC
, SC Grail , OG 13
CR - Powerscore (not full), OG 13
RC- only OG 13
I am pretty confident on getting a Q48/49 , but in verbal i am lagging far behind.
So i am planning to retake the GMAT as I have no other option but to get out my current job as soon as possible.
Please advise if it is possible to increase from V 30 to V 40 in 1 months time.
Thanks in advance.
