I am looking into MBA applications. I recently completed the GMAT and scored a 720. I am looking into top 20 schools. Most of them have a section where they ask if you were ever placed on probation.

Honestly, I do not remember if I was ever placed on probation for the trouble I got into in school. I do remember getting a warning. I got into trouble once and I had to pay a visit to the Dean's Office etc. I called my University to find out if I was placed and probation and they said that they have no record of it since files with such info are expunged every few years.

Now, I am not too sure what I should put on my application.

Hi Monika,

I recommend you speak to an admissions team to confirm, however if your university does not have a record of you being placed on probation, then you were likely not placed on probation. There are degrees of punishment administered (Ex: expulsion, etc.), and it looks as if you were not given as severe a punishment.
