Do schools call you when you are accepted? [#permalink]

Do most schools call you beforehand to tell you you're accepted? OR do they just send out admit letters? Also do most schools wait until the final decision dates before they accept you? Or does it if you haven't heard anything and it's close to the final decision date mean that you're either wait listed or rejected? It seems like people are getting their admits way before the official decision date and i'm really freaking out.

Depends on the school. E.g. Fuqua releases all of the decisions on a specified date and it does not call. Kellogg calls admits on the rolling basus up until the deadline; some intl students get notified about their admit via email due to time differences.
which schools have you applied to?

I applied to USC, University of Michigan, Michigan state and UC Davis. I only interviewed at Michigan State and UC Davis. I heard already from people who applied to R2 that they already got admits last week for MSU. So i'm wondering if i'm going to get dinged.. i had my interview on the 9th..
