this article makes it seem like apps are down this year, when it's really from last years stats obviously

I think at Wharton, R1 could be slightly down from last year judging by GMATclub activity: last year at this date there were 18 pages of discussions in the Wharton thread, and this year - 16 pages.

But then again, last year the school introduced a bunch of changes to their admissions process, and that may have contributed to more discussions.

I think there enough apps for admission committee to keep busy and to fill their classes :) Lets be serious +/- a few when you're talking 10% selectivity or 12% selectivity if app volume falls a bit... is it really skewing the results? Not likely... I wonder what the big intrigue is with app volume
