I send thank you notes to my interviewers, but never get a reply. Does that happen with you as well? Is that a bad sign?

I sent a thank you note to my Duke interviewer and he replied within 10 minutes. But, that was a student interviewer.

If your interviews were with adcom members, it seems like they would be swamped with emails and probably couldn't respond to you even if they loved you.

All my interviewers have been adcoms so far.

I've heard of people not receiving replies until they were admitted.

Don't worry about it at all. Seriously... ZERO concern.

I agree. I'm sure the lack of responses from them is no reflection of your interview performances but more a reflection on how swamped they are right now.

I've gotten replies from all except the Chicago interviewer...Like others have said though, I don't think it's indicative of anything other than how much extra time the interviewer has!
cheers,
ac.

This is how the responses to my thank you notes looks like:

School | Interviewer type | Got a note (Y/N) | No. of days taken to receive the response|
1) Georgetown | Student | Y | 1 day |
2) Tuck | Student | N | |
3) UNC | Adcom | Y | 6 days|
4) Duke | Student | N| |
5) Tepper | Adcom | Y | 1 day |
6) Ross | Student | Y | 2 days |

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Adcoms are super busy people and so are MBA students. I strongly think that getting or not getting the responses is not at all indicative of the outcome.

I interviewed with Kellogg and Ross alums and did not get replies to either of my thank you notes. I think its common not to get a response. All they could really say would be, "You're welcome."

I'm 3/3 (2 alumni, 1 adcom) on thank you note replies, but none of them said more than, "You're welcome. Let me know if you have any more questions". I don't write notes expecting replies, but it's nice to hear something back.

I wouldn't take no reply as a bad sign.

Thanks. Done with all interviews. Still to submit apps to UNC and Georgetown (only if I get dinged/waitlisted elsewhere)

Yeah my Columbia interviewer replied to my "thank you note" with a request for me to talk about an ethical dilemma I had, so careful what you wish for.

I have not received any from both my interviewers. I thought I had built great rapport and I was kind of worried. Both 2nd year students. I hope it does not mean anything.

I got replies from the two interviews I thought went well and I didn't get a reply from the interview I thought went badly. I'm trying to not read anything into that.

I got this note back a few days after email. What can I read into this?

"We were all glad to have you, 'my name'. It was my my pleasure getting the chance to meet you. Good luck in finding the "perfect fit" (hopefully it's at School x), and I hope the admissions process isn't too grueling."

After a few days, I got a response to my one (and only) note so far. It was pretty much like the one above. I'd like to read something positive into it, but it seems like that's a pretty standard response. People sure do love to mention the admissions process.

I spent a while thinking about whether I should reply to the response.

I did not get a reply from my Tuck interview follow-up email.

Did anyone get a follow up from a Tuck 2nd year interviewer?

Yup I did...my guy was super nice.
But I wouldn't read anything into it...I think some just do more email stuff than others.

No harm in replying right? Esp if you keep it simple...great way to keep rapport going..

I agree just make sure you keep it very simple if you're going to reply. Considering the generic response, I would probably hold out until I knew more about my status....If I were accepted, I would being networking or asking specific questions.
