Does GMAC consider requests ? [#permalink]

I am going to retake the GMAT on the 19th of March, however the deadline for the school I want to apply to is 31st March. My first attempt did not go well. So I was wondering if GMAT would consider a request to accelerate the delivery of the official score report in such a situation. Has anybody else gone through something similar?

Most schools allow upto 20 days after the deadline for receipt of the official scores.. In most cases, you would not be having a problem if you take the GMAT before the application deadline... You may try this forum: -post-your-questions-to-gmac-official-representative-here-133929-60.htmlunfortunately, I doubt GMAC would consider that. But, on the positive front, at most schools that timeline would be perfectly acceptable (as long as you send your scores to the school during your exam). I will rather send an email to the admissions committee to confirm. In most cases, this should be just fine.

Hi jhashraddha, I totally agree with jumsumtak and MacFauz. You will be fine even if you take your GMAT on 30th March. I would like to add an observation from my experience. For a few B- Schools I had to make a last minute decision to apply, so I requested GMAC to report the scores a day after the school's deadline. In almost all the cases the scores were reported in 2 days. So, once your scores become reportable (approx two weeks from the test), the scores may reach much earlier than what GMAC says - "please allow three weeks for a program to receive your score report". I would suggest you go ahead and take the test on 19th March. 30th-31st March is a weekend so they will check only on 1st April. By then GMAC should be able to dispatch the scores (they do so electronically). I would worry about your GMAT if I were you (notice the subjunctive mood? Good! It means you are preping well  ) Arun

You see, I spoke to the school today and they told me that they needed the official report by 31st March, so unless that happens, I'd probably lose a year...
