Does having a Master have any affect on your admission? [#permalink] New post 16 Sep 2009, 13:15
Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has had either a positive of negative experience during admission/interviewing for business school who currently have a Master's degree? I have a BS and about to complete my MS and I've heard that you need to justify why you are obtaining yet another degree... It doesn't make much sense to me but I wanted to know if anyone out there has been in a similar situation and there thoughts/comments if any...

Thanks,

I am in the same situation and so was my ex-roomie(presently in a top mba school). He was asked to justify another Masters.

The reason they ask so is because If you did Masters in Science, it shows that you were inclined on science and they want to know why the shift/interest in management after 6 years of studies in science field.
