not much prob/comb type problems...i've taken gmat twice and got only 1 combination question on each test....and they could be solved using the basic formulas....

After reading the experiences of many who have given GMAT, I am beginning to think that sometimes some test takers get a big share of a specific type of problems (comb/prob some or standar deviation etc).. But mostly the distribution seems to be uniform and cover all the types equally. Probably once you start nearing 50, the test may deviate from normal!!!!
