Does P^2 = Q if P is a prime number?

(1) Q^2 - P^2 = 0
(2) P^2 = 49

A

1. $$P^2 = Q^2$$ and $$P^2=Q$$. It is possible only if Q=1,0 and P=+/-1,0. But -1,0,1 is not a prime number. Therefore, 1 is sufficient: $$P^2 <> Q$$

2. nothing about Q (Q may be 49 or 50, for example). insufficient
