Does rectangle A have a greater perimeter than rectangle B?

Does rectangle A have a greater perimeter than rectangle B?

1) The length of a side of rectangel A is twice the length of a side of rectangle B.

2) The area of rectangle A is twice the area of rectangle B


Is there any way to do this problem without pluggin in numbers?

I have seen this one on the forum a few weeks back.

Answer is C.

Q: 2(L+B) > 2(l+b)
or L+B > l+b ?

1) L=2l
=> 2l+B > l+b?
NOT SUFF => BCE

2) LB=2lb
NOT SUFF to eval L+B > l+b => CE

1+2) Sub L=2l in LB=2lb we get B=b
so L+B=2l+b which is clearly >than l+b
SUFF => C
