I got the official GMAT app and it has 223 PS questions and 174 data sufficiency questions. I read somewhere that they had the exact same questions, but I think the OG has 230 PS questions.

Yes, the official app is the official guide in electronic format.
So the questions in OG 12 and the app overlap 100%. They have not released the OG 13 in electronic format for some reason.

If I can do shameless plug, would recommend the GMAT Toolkit app by Walker - it comes with 990 questions and allows you to download additional questions for free for up to 3,000 questions.

You are correct about the ne,bet of questions. OG 12 and OG 13 both have 230 PS questions.

The total count of questions is 230 + 174 + 139 + 124 + 140 = 807
Plus the 100 questions in the diagnostic test for a total of 907.

The app on the other hand has only 800 Questions. I have done a question by question analysis but my hunch is that the 7 questions were taken out of the PS section....
