From misery to glory!
My GMAT experience is rather miserable then glorious for the moment. Few months ago I decided to start preparing for the exam. There were some personal reasons for the lack of my preparation, but after about 3 months on and off studying I scored 500!!! There is no excuse for this mediocre score; I was just not prepared. It is interesting to note though, that I score significantly better on the Kaplan tests (550, 580, and 620). I even scored 550 on the diagnostic Kaplan test. So what happened on the actual exam? Is the result at Kaplan really so skewed? Any ideas will be appreciated. I think I am just not prepared and I am using this wonderful forum to get better preparation and also motivate me. Not that I need more motivation to study but it always helps when you are not alone and you share the pain with all of you
I am very strong with combinations, permutations and probabilities, but when it comes to number properties I am checkmate. I also need to gain more speed and endurance with math. English is my second language, so I will have to spend some time on the verbal part as well. But no matter what the downs in my preparation are, I will keep pushing until I score the desired score to get to a good MBA program. I hope I will be able to help any of you with contributions on the math and verbal part, or at least moral boost.
To all of you who are down the bottom of the rank list, don’t despair, you are not alone. No one can stop you, the tiger is inside of you just needs to be unleashed. That is how I feel now – strong and ready to rumble until we get to the final line. Hopefully, we can all get there soon; from Les Miserables to El Magnificos.
Good Luck to all!
