Done a lot of practice questions here [#permalink]
28 Jul 2010, 02:59
It seems that I can deal perfectly with questions below the 600 level Among the 600-700 level, I've done about half, probably more than half of the questions right. But up to the 700 level, I only get like 1 out of 4 of them right, barely x_x So what is my potential score likely to be? its critical to me since i have to take that test by next march. and i wanna learn more about the mysterious scoring system, says you answer the first question correctly, it gets you to a slightly harder question, and the opposite if you get it wrong. So does that make a big difference between getting the first questions wrong and getting the same number of the last few wrong? anyone have any more idea about that? thanks!!!!

Well, if you're answering 1/2 of the 600-700 questions right, and you perform similarly on the test itself, you can expect to be in the 600-700 range. The algorithm may not always reflect this, but conceptually your "true" score should be the point at which you're equally likely to get a question correct as incorrect. Based on that, you should fit somewhere within the 600-700 range (although with practice you may be able to improve on this).

but did you guys also manage the time when you were doing the practice? lots of toughies take a lot more time than normal questions, i always assume i have about 2 to 3 minutes for each question, but every time i come acroos these toughies, i get all frustrated about the timing~
