I say wear whatever you're comfortable in. Most of the students will be wearing casual clothes unless they have an interview or recruiting event to go to.

I wear a pair of italian leather loafers, very casual and laid back, with a zegna pair of brown pants and a loro piana white shirt, and a black zegna sportcoat. That's my "make sure they know im european look".

Has to be italian. Last open house i went to power suit, green shirt, pink tie. Pink tie very in right now...shows them you are strong, mean business. Bruno Magli loafers, indicates you know the best and that you can relax. (Might show sympathy to OJ though, dont want that). Whether cheap or expensive clothes make sure they fit right. Go to your local tailor and get them altered correctly. Nothing looks worse than someone in off the rack clothers that do not flatter them. Looks like they dont care, are unprepared etc. I have also interviewed job candidates that had obnoxious cologne or perfume...I would leave that odd. Many people are allergic. Get new, modern glasses. Or wear contacts if you like. Learn how to shake hands. Look them in the eye. Ask them when to expect your acceptance letter.

Bruno Magli, I wish. I'm a 13 triple A narrow. Thats right, 13, triple A narrow. I get to pick from three shoes in a store of 2,000. Haven't found a comfy pair of Bruno's before.

Seconding the tailoring thing. I want to murder people who walk into my office with untailored suits. I dont care if its off the discount rack at mens warehouse or if it came from saks fifth, but get it tailored.
