Dress Rehearsal!! [#permalink] New post 25 Feb 2006, 18:57
I got an email with a GREAT idea!

I have been studying up, and of course that means using the Kaplan material. Since I am studying with Kaplan, I received an invitation to take a practice GMAT at Rice University under real-test conditions. In my case, that means that tomorrow afternoon I will find out how my testing works out under as close to the real thing as I will see before the test itself.

Since my actual GMAT is March 14, the feedback I get from the practice (immediate score, plus coaching on strong and weak points) and what happens differently in a real-life situation can be plugged into my home-stretch preparations.

I LOVE whoever thought of this idea!

Well crap.

I got a 610 on the 'dress rehearsal' test. I had bought 3 copies of actual tests from MBA.com and scored 650, 670, and 760 on them, so I was expecting better than that.

But at least I know what to work on. Data Sufficiency is evil, by the way, just in case you were wondering.

Did you take a real GMAT test or a Kaplan one? Kaplan's tests tend to underestimate your score by 50-100 points, so don't worry too much if it was a Kaplan test.
