I dont know whether this will work. I just came up with it today and I will start practicing with this method. It seems as if it is something that I will need to get used to to master but a way to keep track of numbers. Set up a chart before you start quant portion of test:

Heading of table is -2 -1 -1/2 0 1/2 1 2

and draw lines down as in a table

Then on the left side have row headings, statement 1, statement 2, and Combined

so draw this down so you can use this for multiple questions

so when you encounter a limiting factor in a question, immedaitely make an X or scribble on that box for that statement

so if stat 1 says integers, immediately cross out -1/2 and 1/2 so you know never to use these in evaluating that statement, same goes with positive, or non-0.

do this for stat 2 as well.

sometimes ti requires thinking, as it wont be so blatant like 0<X<1 cross fractions out or if Sqrt(X) you know X will be positive.

Then doing this you can evaluate the question in a more organized way without confusing yourself or forgetting what is pos or neg etc.

Then in row C you can just cross out using an OR statement. So if any of the statements are crossed out, C is crossed out too. This will leave you with a range of values for the C statement.


Now granted, I know picking numbers strategy has been around but I haven't seen an easy method to keep track of everything. Also, I have only tried it on 2 questions, but I think it will solve the problem of keeping track of numbers and if you create the whole chart before test starts you wont waste time doing so on the actual test.

Let me know whether anyone will try this and how it works for them. I know DS Number Properties has been an issue for me.
