Properties of Similar triangles:

2 triangles are similar if

1)Ratio of sides = ratio of heights = ratio of circum radius = ratio of inradius = ratio of perpendicular bisetors = ratio of circum radii

2) Ratio of Areas = Ratio of squares of corresponding sides

All you have to notice is that MN is parallel to AC (same for other sides of MON)

If you draw a hight from any point (A, B, or C) it will be pependicular to corresponding side of MON, and that side will dive the height in halfs

When I first looked at the question, i was a bit puzzeled, but a sip of wine made me realize the truth :)

Please note , the line joining the midpoints of two sides is parallel to and half the third side, hence MN || AC , ON || AB AND MO || BC.

if 3 sides of a triangle are parallel to the 3 sides of another triangle , they are similar.
