A is not sufficient > x = 7 ; x = -7
B is sufficient ; only for x <2

From 1, we can get either
-(x-5) > 0
(x-5) < 0
x < 5

Or

(x-5) > 0
x > 5

So 1 is not sufficient

From 2,
x^2+x < 5
x^2+x-5 < 0

we can get either ~-2.25 < x < ~1.75

So 2 is sufficient.
