a quick check with you guys. Do we need to Sign the section about "Early Action" even if we do not check the EA box ? I know EA has passed, so wondering why that box is still in the application.

One more question: I've passed CFA Level 1 and Level 2. Inside application form, do I select CFA as accredition (Right now I have not chosen it because I've not attained the designation), but do we choose it to indicate to the adcom that it is under progress ?

P.S. I've noted my CFA status in my resume, and one of the essays.

Is the Fuqua Flex Term still an option at Fuqua? Saw it in an older year book but is missing in the current one.

I submitted my application with no problems without signing the EA page. If any part of your application is incomplete, there should be a reminder when you check your application

If you mentioned the expected date of attaining CFA (e.g. before matriculation, etc) in your essay, that should be good imo. A one liner in the optional essay would be good too. I You don't want to check the box since it should be for those who already received accreditation.

you really dont need to put a line break between each of the points. 1.5 line spacing is a good enough gap. With that, I believe you can very much fit in your essay within 2 pages.

Hi all, Good luck with R1 application!

Quick question: it seems like my GMAT score will not reach till R1 deadline (I've taken gmat before, but did not report score, I am going to do it today)

Does it mean that my application will not be considered? or pushed back to R2?

Thanks!

If you are reporting it online, it just takes 1 day. And I think 1 or 2 days should be fine.

I just rewrote the 25 somewhat random things and put a lot of humor in there.

Now, I am not sure if it is a good idea.

Do you guys think make if funny is a good idea?

I did... Make someone you trust to be completely honest read it. See if it comes off as funny, or trying to be funny.

Duke is all about fit. My feeling was, how can I give them a real look at my personality without adding some humor in there.

Ditto. I had quite a bit of humor in mine. After all, they're going to be reading it thinking, "Would this person make a good classmate?"

if it were noon they'd say that... Since the deadline is 10/24 est... you'd either assume the deadline is by midnight tonight, or 11:59 pm tomorrow night... 11:59 am doesnt' make sense.

I submitted 10 minutes ago, around 11:57PM EST. whew. happy with this one... gave it my best shot.

best of luck all!

(it's also strange knowing how my interview is already completed as well, so at this point, the decision is 100% in the hands of the admissions committee now. nothing really more I can do for Duke at this point. Jan 8th 2013 can't arrive soon enough)
