ok, yeah I'm assuming the only people to receive the recent email were R2 WLers. The R1 and EA WLers have already received that info, so we should not contact adcom about it IMO. It doesn't seem like any other action is needed on our part (unless you have some updates for them of course)

I think only those who accepted the WL offer by April 1st received the email. Time to flood the gates.

highwyre237: being your classmate @ Fuqua will be a dream come true. I see you are planning to do big things at Johnson. Let's hope you do them in Durham, instead.

I feel the same way. And I think some recent community involvement or professional accomplishment would be more meaningful as an update. It did mention add'l recommendation letter which I am thinking about to go that route.


Also agreed. My score certainly didn't blow anyone away, but it was within the range I consistently pre-tested at after taking a formal study course. Four rushed weeks might eke out 10-30 pt increase, but if I was an AdCom, that wouldn't move the needle very much.

I think we should get a WL headcount by the end of the week. They will start reviewing apps early May.

I have got a strong feeling that there will be a major movement on 5/10. Duke is probably the only school who openly say that its WL is selective and you still have a great shot at acceptance. Since lot of people on this forum have already said no, they need to be replaced by us "hungry" WLers. Let's hope for the best.

Waiting for 31 more days will be pretty tough though.

If someone sends a recommendation on your behalf, how do you find out if the school received it? Do you get a confirmation email?

My third recommender got a confirmation email from Fuqua that the letter was added to my file. It was identical to the one I got a few days later when I submitted the remainder of my update personally.

They just sent a PDF to the waitlist email address with a short intro.
