Final countdown>
although this one is a hard one, here it is:
I have admit for both program, and need to DECIDE. Duke MMS or LBS MiM
I am a US permanent resident in the making, but my status is still adjusting.. can work tho, no problem in the US. Also, I am an EU citizen and study Chinese and did intern in China too. All my internships were marketing/communications related.
So, EU-US-China is my niche, very international. However, due to immigration, I need to get back to US and also would like to long term work there. BUT, now I want the best education and the best value for getting indebted.
I need to know two things:
1) As LBS is one of the best schools, and their program is essentially stronger too, will I be making a BIG risk by going to London and during my year making all the effort to get a US based job? Networking with americans/chinese, applying to US firms...etc. (at worst get a London job at a US company and stay 1-2 years)
I know that few graduates go back to US, especially as this isnt an MBA program..
(BUT, i see LBS as a more solid base for a long term global business career (US-China mainly tho) and it will help me do a top MBA in the US if that's where I will end up)
2) Taking up a US based loan (BoA, Citi, Chase) works the same way for LBS too, it doesnt matter that its not in the US, no?
Or are there any special circumstances for taking up a private loan for outside US study?
Any useful websites?
I did file a FAFSA, but that doesnt pertain for UK study tho.
THANKS
