Hey all! I'm accepted at UNC and Duke (w/$$) and am 99% sure in my decision as of now, but want to see if anyone else has any opinions to add. I'm planning on pursuing finance (investment or retail banking). Neither school is renowned for its finance concentration, but I know both schools have strong connections to Charlotte and NYC. The cultures are pretty similar as well. Honestly, one of the deciding factors for me is that Duke's name carries more weight than UNC's. Any opinions?

UNC kicks Duke's @ss in basketball. Other than that, Duke with scholarship money is a no brainer over UNC for business school.

no brainer, not going to even answer this one...I am sure you know where you should go.

Clearly Duke in your case...with me however I have in state tuition at UNC, so the Duke degree is going to cost me about 35-40k more, and I am still thinking Duke, right?

I still would take Duke with no money. The degree will travel much better. If you want to stay in NC then its probably not that big of a difference.

Duke has always been my dream school, so I just wanted a quick sanity check to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything by ditching UNC without a second thought. Thanks for the confirmation, folks!

I'm late, but another vote for Duke, money or not.
