I have a specific question...here E is wrong since the scentence is framed such that the $50billion left mexico on it own (walked away?) ....i am uncomfortable about this choice but am not able to say why...could someone please explain ?

E is wrong because having left is wrong. having is present tense, and left is past.

I would have gone with D. as having sounded wrong to me. I feel if E was changed to "Approximately $50 billion in private investment capital is estimated to have left Mexico during the 1980’s, adding", then it would have been correct.

Can someone explain why "A" is incorrect? I thought "estimated to be " wass correctly use in 'A"
