Each of the 25 balls in a certain box is either orange, green, or brown and has a number from 1 to 10 painted on it. If one ball is to be selected at random from the box what is the probability that the ball will be either brown or have an even number painted on it?

1) The probability that the ball will both be brown and have an even number painted on it is 0

2) The probability that the ball will be brown minus the probability that the ball will have an even number on it is 0.2

1) we know that there is no brown ball with an even number on it...

However, we have no info on how many balls are brown (could be 1 or 10 or 22) and have no clue on the number of balls with painted even number......

Insufficient

2) We just know that the probability of selecting brown ball is 20% greater than the probability to choose a ball with an even number.

(10/25)-(5/10)=0.2
or

(20/25)-(6/10)=0.2
