2*4!*4!/8! ?

4! - No of ways 4 Boys or Girls can be arranged.
2 - No of ways Boys and Girls can be placed alternately

8! - Total no of ways in which all 8 can be arranged.

All the way down means MFMFMFMFM or FMFMFMFM till the end of 8 friends. Answer is correct

OA is (2 x 4! x 4!)/8!
