I logged into OPUS for the first time today (submitted my app on the 26th of Jan for Rd3) and i see a "to-do list" on my account. It says Essays and Transcripts status "Initiated". Now am i checking too soon even before they have had a chance to put my file together or is this reason to call the adcom. I did of course submit my essays and transcripts as part of the application. Anyone else see this?

My status is the same. I think the "initiated" status means that we've done what we need to do. I hope! I have "initiated" listed for everything on the list and I submitted it all last week.

It takes a few days for everything to reflect on opus. initiated does not mean complete. Once all is complete it will show interview as initiated, which is not an invitation. Don't know what it goes to if you are invited to interview or post that.

GBS also started following me on twitter, and I had not followed them first. So is this a good sign that they are researching me? I hope so! Also when I logged into OPUS my to do list only had 2 items : essay, and GMAT. They both said initiated. Does anyone else have transcripts, and application on their list too? They should have everything. I'm a little worried they did not receive my mailed information.

Also a reply to the earlier message. If you look at their stats they list % of applicants accepted that interviewed, as 100%. This is a guarantee that you must be interviewed to be accepted into their program.

Guys, if there are any students of Goizueta here, can you in a conversation with me share your experience? I would be glad to receive a couple of questions answered via skype

So they sent out an email stating that the checklist on OPUS is now up to date. However my list still only has two items on it: Gmat Scores, and Essays. They both say initiated. Does that mean they have received it? Also why aren't they showing payment, application, transcripts, and interview? I interviewed already back in October. I paid for the application fee a day before. I also sent my transcripts with my unofficial gmat scores. If they are saying gmat scores they must have received my package. Should I email them and find out about this or wait?

OmanguitoO : Those items shown on your checklist in OPUS are outstanding. You will need to send your official GMAT scores and essays to the school. Upon receipt of those items, the Admissions Office will update your checklist and take them off the list. Are you a R3 applicant? If so, you need to provide the information to the school latest by Monday, Feb 6, so as to be in time for R3. Else, you will be moved to the next round....R4 !

Thank you! I am a round 3 applicant. I'm received an confirmation email from the testing center that they sent the score report to Goizueta's office on January 30th. I also emailed Goizueta the essays, plus an unofficial gmat score report, although with a confirmation email of it being sent to their offices. I hope this is enough to confirm that they did in fact receive my gmat scores. I definitely do not want to be pushed to the next round.

I'd be glad to take some questions if you post on this thread. Chances are your questions are similar to others, so I think it's best they remain public.

I'm an international applicant too, applied in R2. Had my interview on 23rd Jan. It was with Kate Piasecki, Associate Director Admissions.

It was through Windows Live Meeting... The interview started at scheduled time and started well, when suddenly i couldn't see the video of admissions director... i told this to her, but as she was able to see mine so we continued.. In short, I gave whole interview watching a blank screen

Overall it was a casual conversation. Questions asked in given order were:-

1) How you decided to pursue your under-graduation in Electronics and Communication?
2) Favorite course in Engineering?
3) How you got your first job?
4) Reason for change to 2nd job?
5) for 3rd job?
6) Why from perm to contract (in Singapore -- overseas)?
7) Are you a risk taker? Will you join any firm in any country?
8) Why 4th job?
9) What is your role here? What projects you are working on recently?
10) Challenges leading a global team?
11) Why MBA?
12) Why Emory?
13) Where you would like to do internship?
14) Considering the US scene right now, what if you don't get the job/internship here?
15) two more questions (not able to recall )

In the end asked if you have any question to ask. I had one and asked that.

After the interview only one suggestion:Please be thorough with ur profile.

justify each action you have mentioned in your resume. Just cover the why, how and what aspect for each point in your resume. So, look at all your achievements, certificates, ur job changes and give good justification for all.

Hello dhrupadk,

It doesn't mean anything if you had not requested for an on-campus interview (self-initiated) before the round deadline. I had asked the same question to the adcom before and they replied not to read too much into it. All interviews post the round deadline are initiated by the adcom.

Even I submitted my application for Round 2 and still waiting for an invite. I learnt that my GMAT score could be a disadvantage as I come from the over represented pool of applicants. But, still hoping for the best. Waiting for an opportunity to be interviewed. :)

R2 decisions are out on OPUS.
I got dinged. :( I kind of expected this result as I did not get any interview invite. Yet, there was this tiny little hope of getting waitlisted which would give me a chance to submit additional documentation. :?

Congrats to all those who got in! Good Luck to waitlisted candidates!
