Congratulations on getting accepted at Emory. I am in process of preparing my application these days. I have two questions:
1. How do you compare Dec.15 round with Feb.1 round in terms of rigor?...is the Feb. 1 round going to be more competitive? Additionally, I will be applying as international student and the website explicitly instructs international students to apply by Dec. 15
2. I really need help with "Why Emory ...?", as I know nothing about the school beside its closely knitted community/small class size.
.....a quick look at my profile may be helpful in answering my question.

As stated in PM,
Illusion, I can't speak on the rigor of the deadlines from experience. But, I would think that your chances would improve the earlier that you apply. Especially with applications being up again this year, they may not have many slots left once the round 3 application begins.
Now, for why emory, what you know already is the most important thing. The community is very very important there. They want to know that you will fit in and bring something different to the discussion. What makes you unique and how you could help discussions is very important. Also, they stress Leadership, and how they are creating leaders. So, its important to stress your desire to grow as a leader, and what a leader means to you. You should definitely know the core values, as those are very big to Emory. The Goizueta Business School is also trying to become more flexible this year with their curriculum, so that would be another thing that you could stress, if you like a flexible curriculum.
In summary, community, leadership, core values, and flexibility. Best of luck.
