I will not be able to visit Emory before applying but have spoken with current students. Is the non-visit a problem in the eyes of the adcom?

I wouldn't say its going to be a problem. The visit is definitely encouraged though. Emory is very big on fit, and they could question your desire to understand the community without seeing it first hand. That being said, if you've spoken with current students, definitely tell admissions about that contact. If you can talk about your conversations with them, you should be fine.

I'm glad to see you're applying, and can see outside of the rankings. Believe me, everyone here at Goizueta thinks we're an undervalued asset and its just a matter of time before the rankings show it. Best of luck in your application process.
