Emperor: The enemy empire across the sea has harassed us for centuries. I want to conquer it and stop it once and for all. What advice can you give me?
Admiral: If you cross the sea, a mighty empire will fall.
Emperor: In that case, prepare the troops. We set sail tonight.
Of the following, the strongest criticism of the Emperor’s decision to invade would be that it.

Why option B is wrong ??

HI there

If you see the other options choice D is more accurate than choice B.
In the above paragraph the admiral's statement is pretty misleading and
the it is not telling which empire will fall it can be king's own empire.
So choice D seems more accurate
In b/w what is the answer ;)

I'll vote for D, as from the Admirals statements its not clear which empire he is talking about. May be he is saying that their own empire will fall down.

Option B is not wrong as well. But we are supposed to find "the strongest criticism of the Emperor’s decision" among the given options, which is not B. We don't know if what Admiral is saying is based on certain facts or not. Though from his statment, it seems Admiral is quite confident.

I'll choose D for this one..The mentioned troop strength is never mentioned in the argument and is therefore out of context...

IMO D,

as Admiral's comment is ambiguous. He did not mention it clearly whose empire will fall and the king assumed that he is talking about enemy's empire.

D it is.
Also, may be the admiral's opinion advice is based on objective facts about troop strength - in which case B is surely eliminated.
