True, GLIM only has a regional influence and isn't in the same league as ISB is. Btw, did you know that they have also going to start a 2 year MBA program from the next year. A candidate can apply to both the programs, so this in a way will give more choice to the student to select the type of MBA program he wants to study in -1 year vs 2 year at the same campus.
This is a surprise. I never knew this. Why did they have to start a 2 year MBA program ?I think it'll dilute the quality of students who enter the 1 year MBA program. I don't think that it will dilute the quality of students. In fact, it will make only experienced people with 3+ years of experience under their belts to go for the 1 year MBA prorgam. Their target audience for the 2 year MBA program is the college student+ those with less than 2 years of work experience and want to do the conventional 2 year MBA program. So there's not gonna be too much of overlap.

Guys, I have an exciting update to share! I have been accepted to the IIMC PGPX program I wasn't expecting that I'd get through as the interview was quite difficult. Couldn't make it through IIMA PGPX but I am happy and satisfied with what I have got now. IIMC executive MBA is the second best EMBA in India after IIMA one, so I'm happy! This also marks the end of my business school journey!

Just a quick question. If you had an admit from ISB also ,which one would you have preferred IIMC PGPX or ISB ?
Sorry for the late reply. I think that I'd have preferred IIMC even if I would have had admit from ISB. ISB is quite good but my work experience is a little on the higher side so IIMC would have made more sense. Also given my post MBA goals, IIMC is a better fit for me than ISB. I researched quite a lot on this topic and in fact had the very same question as you had, when I started my research.

Got it. Yes,just researched that the average work experience at ISB is 4.5 years while that in IIMC is around 9 years so it is a better fit for you.

Your story is phenomenal. Kid+hectic job and then also a 740 and finally into IIMC. Absolutely inspiring!
Thank you . I believe that each one of us have our difficult circumstances. How we look at the situation is something which differs from person to person. Some may take a difficult situation as a challenge and a learning experience while some others crib about it all the time. as they say attitude determines your altitude.
