I walk down the street.
There is a hole.
I don't see it.
I fall in.
It isn't my fault.

I walk down the same street.
There is still a deep hole.
I pretend not to see it.
I fall in.
I pretend it's still not my fault.

I walk down the same street.
There is still the same deep hole.
I see it.
I fall in anyway.
It's a habit.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole.
I see it.
I walk around it.
I don't fall in.

I walk down a different street.

Portia Nelson

This quote sums up my GMAT ordeal since 20 months. The ordeal is over.
Have I really won big time? I dont think so. But yes, a sense of calm is there. How much I owe this to you guys can be judged by the fact that you people are the first ones with whom Iam sharing this news.
Crackgmat750 times
Oct 4 5:20 PM.. Today in one of the prometric centres , somewhere in western part of globe, crackgmat750 defeated his traditional rival ETS's GMAT . Victory was not big..but nevertheless..he finally tamed the beast.
Crackgmat750 could not live upto his name as he scored a score less than 750. Instead He scored
710 95 PERCENTILE
Q- 48 !!!!!! ( it hurts) 86 PERCENTILE
V- 38 85 PERCENTILE

From the time I started visiting this site and which continued till yesterday, I have been quite selfish in the way I have used this site and forum. I have been more of a taker than a giver. There were several reasons for that..but nevertheless Iam guilty. But that ends today. Now it's my turn to pay back. Agreed that I havent achieved a score which qualifies me to have a "Know all "attitude..but still I feel I can contribute a lot by sharing my experiences and insights developed.
I have lot of things to do this week and lot of work has piled up because I postponed various things due to my GMAT. Hence, you guys have to wait till the weekend for a detailed report from my side.. I also need more time because my so called gmat experience wont be..
"AWA was cool.. quant was tougher than OG .. CR's were of LSAT standard.. RC's were 50 lines and my scores in kaplan and princeton were.... "
No puns intended to anybody..but I sincerely feel that this exam has much more into it than some simple statements
I will dissect the exam in it's entirety. Not only the visible aspects of preparation such as sources of preparation and how to prepare well, but also the psychology of the testtaker behind it. Self doubts, confusions, frustrations...
I Dedicate my GMAT score to GMATCLUB community . There are lot of people who merit special mention..I will surely come to that.but then they know who they are. .just mentiioning their name is not enough but unfortunately that's the maximum I can do.
I also dedicate my score to my soulmate who always used to say that I will one day make it in this world . I know she still prays for me in her heart... and Iam sure her prayers have always helped me
She is in this world but I cant tell her because she is now committed to someone else for ever..Life sucks... I hope her heart has listened these bells. I LOVE YOU .....

What has happened has happened for good. What is happening is happening for good and what shall happen shall also happen for good.
Don't regret the past, don't worry for the future, the present is flowing effortlessly.

Whatever you took, you took from here. Whatever you have you are going to leave here.

Nice score buddy. You have re-defined 'Perseverance' and this trait should stand you in good stead for the rest of your life.

Chill for some days..and then join the big bad world of apping.

Also, I empathize with you for the 'She' not being in your life anymore...I wholeheartedly understand cos I've been in the same situation.

Hardworker_indian..thanks for the Bhagvad Gita quote...I had almost forgotten it.

Congrats buddy........Finally the beast has been tamed ! [#permalink] New post 05 Oct 2004, 09:28
Hey crackgmat750,

Congrats buddy ! You have finally done it...

I totally agree with you that this test is so much more than a test of your verbal and quant skills.......its a test of your perseverance and self belief......its about knowing what you can do...in spite of losing to the GMAT beast multiple times......Its about opening your GMAT books again after your dreams have been demolished by the GMAT bulldozer.....

Dude.....you have given me inspiration.... I hope I can finally tame this beast the next time I encounter it........

Wish you all the best with your applications......Keep in touch....

Dear friends
Iam overwhelmed by the love and genuine happiness you people have shown on whatever little success I got. Millions of thanks!!!!!
As promised, I will be back during the weekend..There is so much to say I wonder what to leave .I hope prat wont delete my post if it is too long :P
Dookie, I got you message in my mail box and Iam sorry I havent replied it yet..The reason is there is no short answer to the question you have asked on standard of quant.. I wanted to go into detail of that rather than giving you some simple answer..so please wait.. Quant has tricked me big time and Iam soulsearching on what exactly happened..
See you guys soon

Hi CrackGmat750,

710 is fantastic score. After all, GMAT is one of the criteria.

Boy!! You are quite emotional - might hamper your decision making capabilities - required for a manager. Just kidding!!

All the best 8-) 8-) 8-)
