I started keeping an error log because I thought it sounded like it would be a great resource. But now I just have a long list of numbers written on a piece of paper. Does anyone have a good outline, template or excel sheet that would help to categorize the problems I am getting wrong?

The search tool on this site is quite powerful if used.

Honestly, even with a template, you still need to invest a lot of time to make the error log useful. Everyone benefits differently from his/her own error log. You need to figure out how to make it work for you.
