Hi,
I am not
accepted.com, but decided to take the liberty of sharing one of my thoughts. Most MBA curriculum have a few "core courses" that you can view on their websites - some of them math/analytical and some management basics. My understanding is that a short course on Business statistics, financial accounting and micro/macro economics would put you in a high stage of preparedness to the rigorous 1st year. There are books like Schuman's series for statistics, etc that may be relevant. So, essentially the action point or your pitch can be
1. That you recognize your potential weak area - may be math/statistics. You can mention that you are out of touch from stats and that you plan to refurbish your fundamentals.
2. Identify the core courses for the 1st year and communicate that the short courses that you are taking will gear you up for the rigorous 1st year
3. Mention the community college or the school or private tutot that you'll engage with in the next few months and that you'd complete those short courses.
I think in essence it is to outline to the adcom that you know what your weakness are, you know what is required to scale through the 1st year and that you have identified the mitigation path.
All the best. Someone, pls correct my thoughts if wrong. Thanks.
