How to get in to Top MBA programs - Richard Montauk is fairly comprehensive.
I have heard good things about MBA game plan - yet to review.

Ditto the reccomendation on Montauk. His breakdown on typical answers for a wide range of common questions is excellent stuff. He provides a great view of the overall positioning effort that should go into the app.

Montauk's book is great -- but just be forewarned that his examples of recommendation letters (by his own account!) are really overdone. Don't expect your letters to look like that (and if you are writing your own, certainly don't strive to achieve the length/depth that the samples exhibit).

I'd like to second Montauk's book. Very insightful and helpful, and they cover a good number of schools as well.

Montauk and Bodine are the best. Fairly complimentary. I did not like Your MBA game plan as much, not enough details. It just gives you a general overview.

Hi Kryzak, Yes, I checked with Amazon and I guess they do ship to India but it takes a lot of time to reach sometimes maybe 15-20 days when it will not be any use to me. I checked their speed option but that is limited to US. I could find Montouk's book but Paul Bodino's seems to have no takers here..

i'm not sure why it will be of no use in 15-20 days. The application deadlines don't start until September/October, and the current season is over...

I am looking for UK/Europe based schools for their 1 year program : Warwick, Cranfield, IMD, Said (Oxford), INSEAD. These schools have deadlines by End of May or June.

Amit, both books are available in India. I bought them from Landmark in Bangalore, if you go to any of the larger booksellers you should be able to place an order. You may have to wait a week or so but on the plus side there will be a considerable cost savings vs. amazon etc.

amit, no problem at all. The only thing is I'll be out of touch from now until 6/11 with sporadic email access... so sorry if there is a delay in getting back to you.
