I was just wondering if anyone has found any useful books regarding application essays...kinda like the OG of app. essays?

yes, TONS of threads here if you spend some time searching (yeah, it's kinda sucky to search, but you'll LEARN a lot, I promise!)

On top of Bodine and Montauk, I highly recommend "MBA Game Plan", especially with its new version with supposedly more essays examples. It's a short book that summarizes the entire app process well for you.
