Is there any format when uploading essays? For example, the title, the font&size, the space, or sth? Or we just upload the essay without special format?

Thank you!

Schools usually have their own preference. The ones I'm applying to have recommended double spacing.

The problem is some of the schools do not mention that anywhere... Which format should I use? MSU limits the first essay to be "750 words max or 2 pages", that could not be double spacing, because 750 words and double spacing would make the passage more than three pages...

You may be overthinking this. There are no hard and fast rules. Each school will have it's own directions. If there are no specific directions in terms of font, spacing, and headers then simply place your name and the essay # and question at the top or bottom of each page of the essay and upload as directed.

Ok, thank you. Now I'll not worry about that.

If the school specifies, then obviously you need to follow their indications. If not, then the world is your oyster.

:)

On a side, but very relevant note, here is a post which conducts a study about the "Trustworthiness of Fonts". A long and fascinating read by a very interesting American documentary filmmaker: http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/20 ... n-o-earth/
