Iam applying to a few B schools this year. Currently am working on the essays of Indian school of Business and one of the questions that I observe is
"Discuss an ethical dilemma that you experienced first hand, and how you resolved it"
To be honest,I don't recall anything at my work place ,where I have experienced an ethical dilemma.Am an IT engr from India working in the US and my job involves understanding certain requirements and then coding based on the specs given.
I have a few questions.
a)Firstly, does the answer to this essay question has to be something related to work.
b)Perhaps, the only time when I had a feeling of confusion was when I joined a team and was asked to learn the functionality and technical details of a system.
We were 4 guyz from the company and were aked to learn the details of a system. We were replacing 12 american employees. In short, the job was being outsourced to India.
The enviornment was hostile ,not friendly and we 4 had a tough time for the first few months.
Our technical lead was an American and a few of the employees who were laid off were his friends.
For the first few days, he looked into every aspect of our work and even if there was a minor problem he took it up to our management. I have bad memories of that experience.
Do you think I should mention something like this in the application as an answer to this question.

Thanks and regards,
510 on my first GMAT. 610 on second GMAT.!
The struggle continues.
