Essay question:Example of a good leader [#permalink]

Iam applying to the Indian School of Business(ISB) and other Asian schools.

One of the essays
"How do you define leadership ? Take the example of a leader you admire (living or deceased), and indicate the traits you like. "

Iam ok with the first half of the question (definition of leadership). But I was wondering if I could name a sportsperson as an example of a leader that I like.

Applying to a B school, and naming a sports person as an example of a leader, does it show my immaturity :roll:

For most schools the key to answering a question like that is not whom you pick, but why you choose that person and how you emulate him or her. Choosing an athlete is not a problem as long as you can provide good reasons, have a genuine interest in the sport, and can show this person's influence or how you identify with this role model.

I'll go ahead and write about the sportsperson whose leadership qualities I like the most.
