I am applying for the Fall/Weekend program at Booth and Kellogg. Here are the "personal statement" questions:
For Kellogg:
Describe your career goals: short term (while you pursue your MBA), post-MBA (immediately following), and long-term (10-15 years out). Also, considering Kellogg’s majors, classes and philosophy, why have you chosen to pursue your MBA at Kellogg? (500 to 750 words)
For Booth:
Why are you pursuing an MBA at this point in your career? Describe your personal and professional goals and the role an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business plays in your plans to reach these goals. (1500 word maximum)
Theres a certain order to these questions asked. Is it absolutely necessary to follow this order:
IMHO it would be a good idea to spell out the goals and then fit them into the WHY MBA part.
Heres the outline I was planning on using:
para 1: <personal start>
para 2: <education>
para3: <prof and non prof experience>
para5: <goal>
para6: <how exp fit into goal>
para7: <why MBA>
para8: <why your school>
