Just a quick query.
How important is it to strictly adhere to the word limits on B-school admission essays? For example, can one write between 550 - 600 words when the limit is 'approximately 500 words'?
Our rule of thumb is not more than 10% over the word limit or "guideline." If you feel you must go a little over the 10% on one essay, then make sure you are really supplying important information without verbosity and don't do so on other essays.
