Essays... the general candidate population... [#permalink] New post 24 Nov 2006, 20:09
I've been having my essays looked at from several online editors... They have all indicated that I have submitted work of very high intial quality. Granted by the time I had submitted them for editing I had been thru several drafts, had at least one of them read by Ryme and Hjort, but I am wondering what the hell the general candidate population is submitting... I'm guessing from what I am hearing some unfortunately low quality work. Guess it makes my chances better... but definately interesting.

Thanks Ryme... Your direction helped with that Tuck essay though! I'm thinking more about the original version with maybe some minor editing for UNC's essay number #2:
"Describe the major obstacles or challenges you have faced in pursuit of your goals. Tell us how you addressed these challenges and how they have shaped you. (800 words maximum)"
Overcoming a major health problem, socio-economic diversity, and now majoring in liberal arts but wanting to be in investment management seem to fit this essay well. :)
