Ethnicity vs Nationality, MIT, and Rounds

Hi Alex,
My first two sets of questions are about the "Male Indian Techie" stereotype. When you say that "Indians" are overrepresented in the application pool, do you mean by nationality or race? My ethnicity is Indian, but I was born and raised in Texas. Do I fall in the "Indian" part of the "MIT" group?
And what does the "techie" aspect imply? Is it restricted to computer science, engineering, technology? Or does it encompass all quantitative professions (actuarial, risk management, statistics <- this is my background)?
My last question is about the Rounds of admission. I've submitted 2 in round 1, and I'm submitting 2 in round 2. I would like to apply to one last school in round 3. The school I apply to in round 3 will depend on whether I get my safety from Round 1. If I get in, I shoot high, but if I don't I will have to adjust. I know that round 3 is more competitive, but exactly how much more competitive is it? Is it a complete lottery ticket? All else equal, are schools with rolling admissions, like Columbia, a better choice or a worse? Would it be beneficial to apply for a school that has a large class size?
Now that I'm in the process, my essay are much better. The last one I submit will be my best.
My schools are Michigan, Texas, Duke, Chicago, and a fifth school (tbd).
