EU MBA or US MBA if you want to return to the US [#permalink] New post 30 Aug 2011, 17:56
I am looking to have an international career. I live and work in the US right now and would like to be based out of the US. However, I really like the opportunity to have an international network, and also have an international career. I am trying to make up my mind by applying to part time US business schools or immerse myself in a 1yr full time European MBA program. I am struggling to make a decision. If I do step out to Europe to get an MBA, I would eventually like to return to the US and be based out of here....

What are your thoughts on EU FT vs USA PT?

Hi IEMBA2012,

Where you pursue an MBA program is very important because that is where a large part of your network will be based. Fortunately, there are a number of programs that have international partnerships that will allow you to spend part of your time in various countries. Even in the US, these partnerships exist (as an example, Columbia and UC Berkeley have an arrangement where students can receive a degree from both schools). These type of opportunities would allow you to build an international and domestic network.

Hope this was of help.

Cheers,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team
