Hi tgrlil,

Fortunately, schools such as Oxford and Cambridge have world renowned reputations. However if you are, for example, looking to work in New York immediately post graduation, you will have a large advantage attending a program in proximity to that city. This is not to say that you will not be able to leverage your network in the UK to open up opportunities, but there will be more chances if you attend a program near that location.
