Hi,
Among top 10% of the batch. (Does one need to justify this, because then I don't have any certificate mentioning this explicitly?)
You will be alright without any proof. The adcom will take your word for it.

This play play a large part in your b-school selection.

Sounds impressive. You must address some of your key acheivements and leadership stories through the essays.

Extra-Curricular-
I'm part of couple of local NGO's in the field of education.
When you say you are "part of a couple of NGOs", that sounds a little vague to me. Most people find it difficult to be involved with one so I am wondering about the level of your involvement. What kind of work have you done with these NGO's? Did you take any leadership postion there? Do you have an interesting story that will help tell about the impact you created outside of work (and also about your leadership as a larger trait, not limited to only the work environment)?

Post-MBA goal-
In short term- Would like to get into Telecom consulting role.
Long Term- Would like to setup an own company which would monetize the local skills and knowledge of tribal's in Western Ghats(India).
Do you have any special interests in the well being of tribals in Western Ghats? Have you worked for their upliftment previously? This sounds a little odd to me because there does not seem to be any previous context for you to be involved with a community of this region, and stuff like this, when mentioned in the career goals essay can be a deterrent to your chances of admission, if written just for the sake of pleasing. Besides, you have not mentioned what this company would do and how will you use your MBA and post MBA experience in this company.
So you need to get a hold on your career goals and ensure that you have a credible career path story to tell in the essays.
The scholarships are largely linked to the strength of your profile. Score well (730+) on the GMAT, show your career progression (resume) and leadership capabilities (essays), and ensure that you have good recommendations.
