Evaluate My profine and Kindly Suggest [#permalink] New post 31 Mar 2011, 07:22
Hi,

I am eagerly pursuing to do MBA or equivalent course from a leading business school. As a first step towards fulfilling my aspiration, I appeared for GMAT and secured a score of 700 (Q-49 and V-35).
I am currently working with a leading IT MNC firm as a Technical consultant (Individual Contributor) and have a total of 6.5 years of experience. During this period, I received promotion and awards almost every year.
My academics were fairly good with 76% in 10th, 86% in 12th and 72.8% in Engineering.
Looking at my Financial position, I am thinking of applying to B Schools that deliver a 1 year MBA program. INSEAD, IIM-Ahmadabad, Indian School of Business and Kellogs are some of them I am looking forward to apply.
I want your precious help in evaluating my profile and suggesting some B Schools that provide some financial aid. Also, I want your help in letting me know my chances to get through the above mentioned B Schools.

Regards,

The schools that provide loans to internationals without a co-signer is a fluid thing -- since the 2008 crisis when Citigroup became a penny stock then (they were the bank lender for the top b-schools providing private loans), they pulled the plug, leaving the b-schools to scramble to find alternate ways. Not sure if all of them have (I believe all the top 8 except for Columbia -- and maybe Columbia has since managed to provide it as well.

What you'll have to do is contact each school directly, as this is something that is still a fluid process.

Now, if you're asking about scholarships -- you'll have to look at schools outside the top 30 to be honest with your profile. You're not getting free money from top schools abroad.
