Why MBA & Career Goal:
I am hoping to work in strategy consulting firm as a IT strategy consultant. Because my company belongs to the biggest Group(conglomerate) clients' loyalty to our services is very strong. After several years of work experience I've realized that I need to change my job to be in more competitive circumtances and to develop my potential. In addition to, because I've seen many dull IT investments of my clients, I have a strong interest for an optimal IT investment. Therefore I've decided my next step to be IT strategy consultant in global strategy consulting firm and I have to study something necessary in MBA program to work in the position.

Target Schools: (looking for strong general management schools)
Kellogg, Ross, Wharton, Tuck, Darden, Haas, Duke

Questions
- I wonder:
which school I have to focus on to increase chances to be accepted.
which part of my application package is weak or strong. (+ how I can mitigate the weakness)
anything that you want to tell me.

Jeon Hyun Woo,

Sorry for the delayed reply; I'm on the road, and Internet access is spotty. Based just on what you gave me I think you are reaching a bit high with Kellogg, Wharton, and Haas. Your best chances would probably be at Ross, Darden, and Duke. You have a solid/strong profile, but not an especially unusual or outstanding one. So it's not a question of weaknesses so much as making yourself stand out a bit more. Perhaps if you got a promotion at work and/or started a community organization or took a leadership role in a community organization -- these kinds of things would make your profile seem a little better than competitors. One quasi weakness is your age; you're moving past the typical MBA age so they will expect to see stronger career progress and more defined goals. Maybe also consider Indiana, Yale, and/or UNC.

Good luck,
